THE STORY
It all started in 2012, when Tim Lothar was invited to perform at a festival in Szolnok, Hungary. The legendary hungarian harmonica virtuoso, Tamás Szabó, joined Tim on stage - and from that moment the Danish-Hungarian blues friendship began.

Over the next years - together with Tamás´s band, the Mojo - they toured Hungary, and in 2016 released the live album "Traveling Blues Nights", which was followed in 2019 by the album "Old Cinema Session", recorded live in an abandoned cinema in Budapest. The Traveling Blues Nights seven-piece line-up was completed when the talented Barcelona-based Danish songwriter and bluesman Jesper Theis joined.

In the spring of 2018, the Traveling Blues Nights project toured Denmark for the first time, and after concerts which left audiences on their feet calling for more, another tour was arranged for the autumn of the same year with more tours to follow.

Their repertoire is a mix of originals penned by Theis, Lothar and the Mojo Band, together with interpretations of blues and roots classics.

This album captures the essence of the February 2024 Danish performances, with one exception "Love Song", which was recorded during a concert in Szolnok, Hungary, in 2021.
