Tim Lothar er ikke "just another bluesman". Han er kendt for sine historiefortællinger og sine egne sange, og dette gør ham til en interessant og meget personlig kunstner - en storyteller. 
Lothar er et anerkendt navn på den internationale blues/roots scene. Han har turneret 20 lande, har otte  anmelderroste udgivelser bag sig, har modtaget priser i ind‐ og udland, og er en af de flittigst turnerende musikere i Europa.  Han er lige nu en af DK’s aller skarpeste og mest respekterede bluesmusikere.
Hans sange er blevet fortolket af kunstnere fra bl.a. Tyskland, Iran, USA og Færøerne.
