Greetings from Diemitz, a little town north of Berlin, Germany
Lots of news this time:
I was invited to France for the first time in eight years, and had such a wonderful time.
I played a festival in the gardens of an old castle in Brittany, called Blues au Chateau.
I hope it will not be another eight years before I will be back.
And: vinyl, vinyl!
Old time Blues:
Peter Nande, Mik Schack and I released a live album in 2018 named Walk Right In.
We now have gone all the way and have printed a beautiful 180 gram vinyl, with a gatefold cover.
I am very satisfied with the result.
Our own songs:
Today I will need to go through the recordings we made last year, from our live performances with our hungarian/danish project Traveling Blues Nights. We would like to make an album/vinyl out of this, and have it ready for our forthcoming winter tour.
New solo album?
When my calendar will be less busy I will have time to go through the recordings I´ve made in Budapest in April, of all my new songs.
And: royalities vs money
The company that is taking care of royalties in Germany, Gema, wants to tax my income a second time, which is not legal. I already pay a tax in Denmark.
They did this in 2018, lost the case, and now they try again. This means that I am missing out 30 percent of my income this year (but the money will come, one day).
I survived hard times before, I will survive this too.
That´s all for now. I would love to see you at one of my concerts!
Come out and listen to my new songs.
